Delicious Bites of Goodness// Turmeric Hemp Bites

These delicious bites of goodness are super easy to make, they’re stacked with healthy fats, and protein and are rich in fibre and can easily be low waste.

I’ve adapted this recipe from the book Fiber Fuelled by Will Bulsiewicz.

Firstly I wanted to tell you a bit about how amazing hemp seeds are, which are the star ingredient in these bites. If you already know of their wonders feel free to skip to the recipe.

Hemp seeds contain loads of omega 3’s, a really good amount of protein for a seed, and lots of minerals like iron and zinc.

They’re such a nutritional powerhouse. I’d encourage you to add them to your pantry and life! Also they’re an environmentally friendly crop with a low carbon footprint.

You can buy Australian grown ones too which is really great (if you live in Australia), if not see if your country grows them locally.

And look in your local bulk food store to avoid any unnecessary packaging.

These guys are so versatile, and delicious and have a pleasant nutty flavour.

You can top a smoothie with them, or add to your favourite toast topping like peanut butter and banana, you can bake with them and sprinkle on roast vegetables, the list goes on.

They also keep you nice and satiated for longer due to the fat and protein content, which is always a bonus.

Hemp seeds have my heart and they’ll surely have yours too, even with their price tag. Be sure to store them in the fridge to preserve those healthy fats from going bad.

Now to the Turmeric hemp bites…

Theses are the perfect snack to have on hand and are kid friendly too (as long as they don’t have a nut or sesame allergy).

Turmeric Hemp Bites

These hemp bites have a delicious nutty flavour, with the hint of lemon they have a zingy freshness which cuts through the richness of the tahini.

Its great to make these in a big batch as they store pretty well.

I hope you like them as much as I do.

Here’s the recipe.
