Mandarin, Carrot and Turmeric juice, full of Vitamin C and Beta-carotene for Immunity.

The winter merry-go-round of viruses is hitting hard this year, we get better, then my daughter returns to school and inadvertently picks up another bug, the whole process starts again, it feels wearing and endless but somehow we muddle through, searching for the light to return.

Thankfully there are lots of great immune boosting remedies, food, herbs and supplements to aid us during these dark winter days. But I can’t help but look forward to the sun returning, the days are slowly getting longer and the temperature seems to be on the rise a tad, which brings a semblance of relief, especially down south in Victoria where the winters seem to stretch on until November.

This juice is filled with the most vibrant colours that bring sunshine to the grey days. And its great to add to the arsenal of virus fighting tools.

I’ve used mandarins instead of oranges because they are so prominent in season and our fruit bowl seems to be overflowing with them. They give a sweeter taste to the juice than oranges, but if you only have oranges they’re great too!

Mandarins are similar in nutritional value to oranges, full of Vitamin C and flavonoids such as Hesperidin, and carotene. Making them ideal for immune boosting, along with supporting adrenal function(1).

Here’s the recipe.

Enjoy!
